Lady in black

November 15, 2016

Supporting local talents has always been something that I considered essential in the fashion industry. Whether it be inland production or a designer established in your hometown, supporting regional artistry is crucial. That is why I am so exited to come to you today with a very special post, featuring one of my favorite designer, Elisa C-Rossow. Elisa was born in the city of Nice, situated South of France, but moved to my hometown, Montreal, 9 years ago. The young designer was only 22 years old, when she started creating her own clothing designs in Canada, but quickly grew to establish a brand that has now developed such a strong artistic identity.

Looking at her beautiful high-end, hand-made clothes, it’s no surprise I rapidly fell in love with her creations. Her signature structured and timeless cuts, in conjunction with a minimalist aesthetic and absence of color, truly represents the essence of the Elisa C-Rossow brand. The perfect combination of classic, yet contemporary.

Composed of the finest fabrics, her pieces all exude sophistication and chic, and this exquisite long black coat is no exception. It is made from 100% authentic Italian wool and lambskin, not to mention its timeless style, which is guaranteed to stand the test of time. A long black coat is an essential for winter and therefore, investing in a classic piece like this one is a “must” for the colder months.

However, my favorite element about this jacket consists of the fact that it is actually composed of two separate pieces, that can be worn in a multitude of ways, creating a multifunctional garment – another element of Elisa’s signature style that can be observed in her new collection. Such an original, interesting and functional twist on an otherwise simple design.

The darkness of the coat conveys a very mysterious and elegant vibe, but I absolutely love how the vest looks on its own as well. It gives you a completely different look. Having the option to pair them together or wear each item separately, automatically maximizes its use – and I’m all about making the most out of my more expensive pieces.

So if you’re searching for the perfect coat this season, or simply love having timeless, high-quality pieces in your wardrobe, I highly recommend exploring through Elisa’s beautiful designs.
