As a petite girl, it’s very hard for me to find a pair of trousers that fits right off the rack. Most of them are either too baggy, which ends up looking like I’m wearing a diaper, or too long, in which case I need to get them tailored. So you can understand my excitement when I stumbled upon this pair of pinstriped pants at Zara. At first, I was attracted by the button details as well as the choice of colors, and when I tried them on, they fit perfectly on my small frame, sitting right below my waist, but most shockingly, didn’t need to get hemmed. Sold!
Most people associate trousers with a corporate look. However, they truly are a very versatile piece that can also be worn in a more casual environment, which is what I wanted to demonstrate with this outfit by pairing them with a simple white tee. But the pièce de résistance is this amazing silver jacket from Ruby Sees All, an amazing Australian label that I had the pleasure to discover two weeks ago. At first glance, it might look like a metallic leather jacket, but the material actually has a denim-like texture, which makes it really soft, comfortable and is quite an original take on this classic piece.
I’m usually a jeans and t-shirt kind-of-girl, but it feels nice to branch out and integrate trousers into my everyday wardrobe. Expect to see more outfit based around this pair very soon!
